pdf vs. source file.
The advantage of using a pdg for a final print file is the security of stability and consistency. Your file will not be changed once it is a pdf therefore ensuring you that your supplied artwork is secure and correct. However, if there are changes to be made to the file we are generally unable to edit pdf's, therefore requiring the customer to provide a new file with the changes.
Include and embed fonts when creating your pdf, thus further ensuring the correct final printed piece. A hard copy proof is still recommended when submitting a pdf.
We are more than able to work with our original source files if you cannot provide a "print ready" pdf. If this is the case a pdf or hard copy proof will be submitted to you for approval. If we are using your source file we will also need all fonts and supporting images used to create your file.
